The 2023-24 iliad received fourth place Best in Show during the National Scholastic Press Association Journalism Education Association Fall 2024 National Fall High School Journalism Convention. The iliad was recognized by the National Scholastic Press Association.

2022-2023

The 2022-23 iliad Literary-Art Magazine is honored receive a Pacemaker award for the 2022-2023 academic year. The Pacemaker is the highest award a Literary Magazine can recive on the national level. The 2022-23 iliad also received first place Best in Show during the National Scholastic Press Association Journalism Education Association Fall 2023 National Fall High School Journalism Convention. The iliad was recognized by the National Scholastic Press Association.

2020-2021

The 2020-2021 iliad literary-art magazine received an All-American evaluation by the National Scholastic Press Association. The publication received Marks of Distinction for Content; Photography, Art, Graphics; Design; and Concept. All-American publications must achieve 400-500 points with four-five Marks of Distinction. The Iliad rated 474 points as a total score.

The 2021 edition of the iliad received the NSPA Pacemaker, the highest award given to high school student publications. The iliad was one of six publications to receive this award, representing the top 10% of high school literary-arts magazines.

The 2019-2020 iliad literary-art magazine received an All-American evaluation by the National Scholastic Press Association. The publication received Marks of Distinction for Writing and Editing; Photography, Arts, Graphics; Design; and Concept. All-American publications must achieve 400-500 points with four-five Marks of Distinction. The Iliad rated 480 points as a total score.

The 2020 iliad Literary Art Magazine was named a Pacemaker Finalist on Nov. 5. The iliad is one of 60 publications from across the country to be named a finalist.

The 2019 iliad literary-art magazine received a First Class evaluation by the National Scholastic Press Association. The publication received Marks of Distinction for Photography/Arts/Graphics, Writing and Editing, and Content. First Class publications must score a minimum of 450 points. The iliad rated 458 points as a total score.

The 2018 iliad literary-art magazine received a First Class evaluation by the National Scholastic Press Association. The publication received Marks of Distinction for Photography/Arts/Graphics, Design, and Concept. First Class publications must score a minimum of 450 points. The Iliad rated 463 points as a total score.

2016-2017

The 2017 iliad literary-art magazine rated a First Class evaluation by the National Scholastic Press Association. The iliad accrued 463 points.

Individual awards:

Violet Merritt was awarded Third place in Literary Magazine Page/Spread in the NSPA 2017 Design of the Year competition.

Kri Hair, Sara Goodie and Violet Merritt were awarded an Honorable Mention in Literary Magazine Cover for “When the forest burns”

2015-2016

The 2015-16 iliad literary-art magazine achieved a First Place Honor Rating. The magazine achieved Marks of Distinction for Writing and Editing. The magazine scored 459 points in its evaluation.

The iliad (2015-16) placed seventh in Best of Show at the JEA/NSPA Fall convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.



2012-2013

The iliad literary-art magazine was awarded 10th Place in the Best of Show competition for Literary Magazines at the Fall NSPA/JEA Journalism Conference in San Antonio, Texas. 

The iliad literary-art magazine was recognized as First Class with 464 accumulated points. The magazine received Marks of Distinction for Content, Writing and Editing and Layout.



2009-2010

NSPA ranked the ODYSSEY’s sister magazine, the iiliad literary-art magazine, First Class.
